At Kyoto 京都

| | Comments (0)
Yesterday we went Kyoto. At Osaka Umeda JR station, we bought return tickets to Kyoto main station. After arrival, we went to the bus ticket office outside the station and bought 1 day pass (500 yen). Then we hurried to the bus for 金閣寺. Anyway, we got on the "wrong" bus going to the opposite direction (We were curious why there were only 2 of us on the bus). The 205 line driver was kind enough to drop down us at the next stop and pointed to the right stop on the other side of the road.

Finally we got on the right bus heading back to the Kyoto station where there was a long queue waiting for us. Not bad. At least we already got a seat. After 45 mins, we reached the temple station. We walked the path, bought the ticket and entered the temple. There were many students. It was a beautiful golden temple resting on quiet waters. We spent sometime watching the landscape along the designated path (it's the bad thing - too commercial). At the end of the visit there were some shops and booths selling souvneirs, desserts and preserved vegetables. We bought some we like. We left the temple and changed bus (#204) heading towards 銀閣寺.

After 20 mins or so we reached the station 銀閣寺道. We bought some sushi and food at the supermarket next to the bus stop. We ate our lunch on a bench along the "path of philosophy" 哲學之道. Again there were quite many students at the temple. We bought the tickets and went round the temple for some time.
